Ostand Q3 Silicone for iPhone 17 Pro Max

So I’ve had the Ostand Q3 silicone case for the last three weeks and I’ve handled it, and tried it out using my iPhone 14 ProMax (as the 17 and 14 are close in size), and these are my findings.I like that Torras' retained the use of embedded buttons to help prevent entry points for dust (although I miss being able to pick and choose optional color buttons).I like the feel/texture of the case. It’s a little slippery, but otherwise feels good in my hands. My worry is that over time it might become tacky like some plastics can get and then it becomes sticky leaving residue on your fingers. I have a TV remote control like that. [I have been assured by Torras support since I posted this that that "tacky/sticky" problem won't happen [see next], "We added a nano-coating to the surface: this not only extends the life of the liquid silicone but also keeps the texture smooth (and makes wiping off dirt or fingerprints super easy). And don’t worry about it getting sticky over time—we’ve upgraded our manufacturing process with high-quality liquid silicone. While some plastics or low-grade silicones do turn sticky, our material prevents that, so it’ll stay comfortable to hold for months."I was able to fit my iPhone in the case however as the iPhone 14 Pro Max is slightly smaller than an iPhone 17 Pro Max, it’s not a snug fit. But it’s not terribly loose either [I don't plan on using it full time with my 14 Pro, it was just for testing purposes].Button response (volume and power) are responsive (even with the phone being my 14 Pro Max) was very good.I like the O-ring stand it’s stiff, which is good. I put the stand in a position and the phone retains that angle over time. It doesn’t slip down or fall down, it holds its position.I suggested to the support team they should make note for people that the O ring can only fully go flush with the phone in one direction or the other when you open it up or extend it. That was the only thing I noticed I was like “ok this won’t go that direction", but I get it, it has to be the way that it is because otherwise the stand won’t stay as a stand” and the phone will fall down flat. Think about it like a soda can tab, you pull it up and out and it goes to this like 90° or whatever angle and then it doesn’t go any further. Don’t force it you’ll break it.It’s a good opening for the camera lenses I guess, that being said none of my lenses were blocked so I was able to take pictures with it on, and they were somewhat protected (again because I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max the camera arrangement is different than that of the iPhone 17 Pro Max).I like the fact that the branding is subtle and it’s not overly large (I like that, actually quite a lot). It’s in a good location in my opinion, and I imagine that based on designers input they situated as such so you can still read it to showcase whose brand case it is especially when you have the stand holding the phone up for reading or angled for watching videos.I did note though that the magnet inside the case is not as strong with the heavier weighted 14 Pro Max in securing it to a magnetic surface (i.e. my cabinet door) as seen in the video.You can see that the case and phone slide down the surface of the door which is not a good thing. Now it’s possible that it might work better with the 17 Pro Max (and stay in one place) as that has an aluminum body versus a steel body, but I don’t know, I don’t have one to test with..Overall I like the case, I wish I could have gotten one in black, but I get making it the color it is goes with Apples decision to make a dark blue iPhone Pro Max. I was curious as to the hierarchy of cases between this one and the one with the “air cushion corners” as that seems like it might be more desirable to buyers as it’s got some parts that are clear, and seems to be more rugged to deal with drops (I didn't test my phone and the Torras case in that way as I was sure my phone would pop out).

Buckle up, or buckle in, this review is about to take you for a ride.Let’s start with how quickly this thing arrived, as always, kudos to companies that take the time to work within Amazon to deliver fast. I got this next day. Love that, thank you.Well, after it arrived, I was left waiting for the main piece, the iPhone 17 Pro Max.So I unboxed it in excitement. I got this case on September 16th and immediately tried using my iPhone 16 Pro Max to test the size and to see how much different the new iPhone 17 Pro Max felt - let’s just say the case is definitely designed for the new iPhone.The feel of the Torras Ostand Q3 Silicone case - give me a second my fingers need to catch a rest after typing that - is amazing. At first, I wasn’t sure how to feel, but this case easily reminds me of the silicone case that Apple makes with the only difference being reliability.I have no issues feeling like I can drop this case and it would protect my iPhone 17 Pro Max well. First, the silicone feels sturdy and it is very thick while still remaining comfortable to hold.The design is beautiful and snugly holds the iPhone. I love the way inside of the case feels, again this gives me strong confidence is it being able to protect my phone as well as keep it looking good well into the next year. This case has that nice suede-like material that you are used to seeing in high-end cases and this plays in that same arena.Now I will say, at first the case feels very much like silicone - meaning that it feels slippery. I wanted to dock it some points when I first received it because of that but I decided to actually test it once my phone arrived.Let me tell you, as you use the case, you start to develop some, uhh, I guess it would be patina? I could be saying that wrong, but as I use it, that feeling of the case being very slippery is slowly changing into something that as it wears feels better. I don’t know how to describe it.Lastly, the stand. Wow. It is really thin, I mean it feels like it could break, and trust me I’ve tried putting a little bit of pressure on it and I’ve been surprised. No matter the angle, or position I try it in, it keeps my phone up.I’m very happy with this overall. From how it is packaged, to how easy it is to put into the phone, to the stand and the magnetic features it has as well.I think this case is a home run, specially in this amazing dune color!

I really like the feel of this case, the silicone really aids in gripping. I usually prefer black cases but find myself really liking this darker navy color just as much, or more. The microfiber lining on the inside treats my phone with the delicate care it deserves. Only recently did I purchase a phone case with a ring stand and now I won’t be without one! So handy and convenient, I find myself using it more than I thought I would. You can really position the phone however you need it for any task.

So far I’m loving this case especially with the 360 stand that I can use at all different angles. You can place it in an almost upright position. The stand also feels very solid. The microfiber lining does its job in preventing scratches. The feel of the case is so soft and nice to hold in the hand. The color gives a nice contrast to my orange iPhone 17 Pro Max. The buttons all feel nice and clicky. The camera plateau lip protrudes to protect the lenses but doesn’t stick out too much. No obnoxious branding. I’ve used many Torras cases before so I’m confident this will hold up for my use cases.

I have been using Torras cases on my iPhones for several years. In my opinion the cases are well made, packaging is always neat, clean and consistent. And the customer service is always top notch. Had a previous version of this case in the past with a minor issue, I emailed the customer support and had a positive resolution within a few days! Now on to this specific case. I believe this is their best version of the spin ring case. The inside is a soft suede type material that feels and looks premium. The shell is grippy without being overwhelming. All the buttons feel clicky and responsive. I am super impressed! The fit is great as well. Highly recommend

I just received this new silicone case with the rotating stand, and I’m seriously impressed! The material feels soft yet durable, and the design looks even better in person than in the photos. What really sets it apart is the rotating stand—it’s smooth, sturdy, and makes hands-free use so much easier.I’ve never seen a silicone case with this kind of functionality before, and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite accessories. Just got this Torras silicone case for my iPhone 17 Pro Max, and wow—it’s seriously impressive. The deep blue color is gorgeous, and the silicone feels soft but grippy, like it won’t slip out of your hand. The buttons have this subtle shimmer and feel smooth and responsive, not bulky at all. The kickstand is a game-changer: easy to pop out, rotates smoothly, and holds the phone steady at multiple angles. Inside, the soft lining feels like microfiber and adds a nice layer of comfort for the phone. You can tell Torras really listened to feedback and put care into the design. It’s sleek, sturdy, and just feels right.

I had the previous version of this case and just upgraded. First, this one feels a bit thinner and lighter to me. I’m not sure if it actually is, but it sure feels that way.The exterior of the case has a soft, matte, marshmallow-like texture that feels great in your hands. It is not slippery at all (previous version was a touch slippery) and does not seem to show fingerprints. Buttons are extremely tactile and easy to press (better than the previous version for sure). The camera action button has also been improved and it works great, including the zoom function.The interior of the case now features a soft, cloth-like material that won’t scratch the back of your phone. It’s a nice upgrade from the previous version of the case, and it makes you feel better about putting your phone in a case.The 360 degree rotating stand seems to be the same as the old version of the case, and that’s a good thing. You can easily stand up your phone in portrait and landscape mode at a number of different angles. I can’t imagine a scenario where the options provided by the stand aren’t sufficient for anyone’s needs. Plus, the ring design of the stand also allows you to use it to grip the phone should you find the need to do so. The only minor improvement I would make to the stand would be to maybe coat the metal ring with a very thin layer of the same silicone material that is on the exterior of the case. That would likely prevent the phone from sliding around on while using the stand on an airplane tray table, etc. This wasn’t an issue for me at all on a recent flight, but I could see it maybe being a problem in certain situations. Again, a very minor thing but worth mentioning.The camera cutout is excellent, as are the cutouts for the speaker, microphone and charging port.It’s just an extremely well-made case with little (if any) room for improvement. Ever since I switched to this style of case with a kickstand, I’ve wondered how I ever got by without it. The kickstand is just so useful and convenient, and I actually find myself using it on a daily basis. I can’t see myself ever buying a case without a kickstand. And with the way Torras keeps improving this case, I don’t see any reason to look elsewhere.If you’re in the market for a case like this, look no further.
